at the Center Stefano Franscini Monte Verità, Ascona, Switzerland July 9-14, 2000 Funded by the Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology Organizing Committee Workshop objectives The theme of the workshop is `Inference and Asymptotics'. Scientific Programme The scientific programme will consist of a variety of sessions, such as invited papers and poster sessions. The number of talks will be limited to avoid parallel sessions, but all people with an interest in `Inference and Asymptotics' are invited to attend the workshop and are welcome to present a poster. The deadline for presentations is April 21, 2000. A detailed programme is here. Conference location The workshop will take place in the Center Stefano Franscini (CSF), which is located above Ascona on Lake Maggiore. The CSF is about twelve minutes' walk from Ascona and consists of two buildings located in a big park. Details on the CSF at Monte Verità you will find here. Travel Participants will assemble during the afternoon (from 3pm) and evening of Sunday July 9, 2000, with scientific work beginning the next morning and finishing on Friday 14 July (afternoon). There will be a shuttle bus in front of the train station in Locarno; departures towards the CSF are 17:15, 18:15 and 19:15 on Sunday July 9, 2000. Detailed information on how to reach the CSF you will find here. Accommodation Reservations should be made using the registration form. We have reserved accomodation only at the CSF, where the number of bedrooms is limited. Therefore participants will probably be asked to share double rooms. Accomodation at the CSF is included in the registration fee. People who want to stay elsewhere should make their own arrangements! Ascona is well supplied with excellent hotels of all categories, from the most luxurious to the simplest; a list of hotels is here. Registration Deadline for registration is May 15, 2000. All participants must register. This can be performed through the registration form. Please look at the Travel and Accommodation sections (above) first. |
